Hi! I’m Iesha!
I run Brave Blooms alongside my husband, Matt, and our son, Braven. We are a small, Native and Black-owned flower farm located in beautiful Washington State. We grow premium, pesticide-free flowers for events, florists, and bouquets direct to our customers. Through our online store, we also offer hand-selected seeds and dahlia tubers so you can cultivate the same stunning blooms in your own garden.
Brave Blooms began as a seed of hope during one of the hardest seasons of my life. In the span of a year, I lost my dad unexpectedly at 52, and my grandpa was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. As a new mom navigating grief and uncertainty, flowers became my refuge—a way to heal, reconnect with myself, and rediscover joy.
My connection to plants runs deep. With a background in biology and a lifelong love of growing, I’ve built a farm rooted in care—prioritizing sustainable practices, soil health, and the selection of strong, beautiful blooms. Starting Brave Blooms didn’t feel like stepping into the unknown—it felt like stepping into my purpose. Like everything I had experienced was leading me here. Growing flowers, building a business from the ground up, and working in rhythm with the seasons has brought me a deep sense of peace, fulfillment, and clarity.
As a Native woman, sustainability and respect for the land are at the heart of everything I do. I honor traditional practices by focusing on soil health, seed saving, and working in harmony with the environment. From selecting resilient, regionally adapted flowers to using no-till methods and natural pest management, my goal is to grow in a way that nurtures the land rather than depleting it. I also work to reduce waste through composting, repurposing organic materials, and minimizing single-use plastics on the farm. Representation matters, and I’m passionate about creating space for more diversity in the flower industry—ensuring that Indigenous knowledge and stewardship continue to thrive in modern agriculture.
This farm is more than a business; it’s a testament to resilience and the courage to dream, grow, and challenge the status quo. Named after my son, Braven, Brave Blooms reflects the spirit of hope and bravery that blooms in every flower we grow.
Thank you for being here, for supporting our farm, and for sharing in our story. I hope these flowers bring you as much joy as they’ve brought to my life.
With love,
Iesha
